What we do

The Yare Valley RDA group of volunteers run sessions for children from; Harford Manor, Parkside and The Hall School on a Monday morning. Hopefully will be restarting the Tuesday morning session too when staffing can be confirmed.

The children experience connecting with our placid, friendly horses during riding sessions. This helps relax tight muscles and improves core strength, balance, and coordination, whilst developing skills and confidence and enriching their time away from the classroom.

All children are supported when they ride by two side walkers, whilst another volunteer leads the pony. Our trained coaches deliver carefully planned lessons that develop each child’s skills and confidence. They follow guidelines produced by the RDA and each child’s progress is shared with the schools.
