Why we do this!

“The class has made tremendous progress, growing in confidence as they learn to build trusting relationships with a wider range of adults who support them. They have also developed greater resilience when facing new experiences, including traveling on a school bus for the first time, attending school trips, and visiting unfamiliar places.
A particularly impressive achievement has been that every pupil successfully mounted and ridden a horse. This activity provides a wonderful start to the week, helping pupils regulate their emotions and settle back into school after the weekend.”

Ian Mills, Assistant Headteacher, Parkside

“Alfred loves horse riding and has become confident and happy over the past sessions.
Thank you for all your support and teaching”

“Thank you so much!”
“My dream has come true, my son can now be friends and ride a horse.”

“Horse riding was really excellent this year. The support and positivity from the volunteers were amazing. They are so invested in the pupils’ needs and progress that it makes such a difference to the sessions, and the pupils love seeing the horses and adults each week.”
